About our story of
Divini Couture

Working with natural fabrics, I love it!

Divini Couture was founded in 2004. I was approached by friends asking for tailor made costumes to fit their vision, and slowly the business grew. For now the tailor made options are only available for people willing and able to visit my workroom in the Netherlands. It’s imperative that I can take the measurements for a true bespoke outfit myself, and that is impossible over the internet. Perhaps in the not too distant future some other options will be available.

Tailor made

There’s nothing quite like a bespoke garment, made to fit your body perfectly. I am experienced in making clothes for taller people, people with scoliosis and other particularities. With bespoke garments, everything is made to precisely fit you. I take into account the build and body type of the wearer, and listen to your preferences.

A happy customer video!

There was one very happy customer that I would like share with you. She is a perfect fit in our story. Marjolein provided me with a sketch and mood board of her dream outfit for her elf character. After the costume was finished she was happy to pose for this video showing off the results.

Label information

We choose responsible wool

Textile Exchange develops and manages a suite of standards that provide the industry with a way to verify sustainability claims from the raw material to the final product. All Textile Exchange standards are developed through a multi-stakeholder approach to address gaps in available verification tools. We work to ensure these standards meet the needs of a growing and changing industry. We want to stay close to ourselves and our story and with the quality we want to be the best. The Responsible Wool Standard is a voluntary standard that addresses the welfare of sheep and the land they graze on.

Free of harmful levels of toxic substances

STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is one of the world's best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances. It stands for customer confidence and high product safety. Find out here what STANDARD 100 means and why it is worth checking for this label when buying textiles. If a textile article carries the STANDARD 100 label, you can be certain that every component of this article, i.e. every thread, button and other accessories, has been tested for harmful substances and that the article therefore is harmless for human health.
